The Full Story
Growing up in Brazil my days were filled with friends playing soccer. School and eating dinner were wedged in there somewhere but the main drive behind each day was always to get outside and play soccer. We played in the blazing sun and pouring rain, wherever we could find a space whether it was a concrete street, a grassy vacant lot or a sandy beach. We played soccer all day every day. I grew up with a ravenous appetite for the sport. One that has carried me to professional levels in Brazil and then on to scholarships in Alabama, Calgary and Edmonton.

Canada is now my home and I am building a life in this beautiful country with my wife and our newborn son. Like many fathers with a passion, I often dream about my son possibly playing soccer and fondly remember my joyful days of playing soccer on the streets of Brazil. Thus, the Brazilian Street Futsal Academy was born. With the goal to provide high level training focused on skills and technique through small group sessions to help young players to achieve their full potential in Football. In Brazil, 99.9% of the players grow up playing futsal and street soccer.

Through these exciting childhood pastimes one learns how to play on different surfaces, with less space, sometimes barefoot, and with players of mixed ages and abilities. All those elements challenge you as a developing player in different ways that are outside the usual training structure and enable you to become a much better player.
Futsal /street soccer is the secret as to why Brazil produces so many extraordinary stars. The intention and expectation of the Brazilian Street Futsal Academy is to become a complimentary component to the training and development of Alberta’s future soccer elites with the “Brazilian Way of Play,” Joga Bonito!
